Choice: The Great I Am or The Figment Of Our Imaginations

Jesus explains, “Many see Me as they would a human with ultimate power. As they do they create within their idea of who I am with their own ambitions, desires, or even of their fears. I am created in the minds of people after their image. Because of this many have  a sense of dread or angst of submitting to the god of their imaginations. They are right to do so. A god of the imaginations of man will always be limited, untrustworthy and only that, a figment of their imagination. ”

“The reality of who I Am is beyond the understanding, comprehension or even imaginations of humans. As such, most fear what they do not know or understand, especially if it […]

Going Beyond Our Doubts and Questions – Part 2

Learning God’s truth in the midst of lies the world demands us to believe takes us on a journey that many times is filled with pain and uncertainty.

Jesus shares, “My truth is higher than any experience or lie or pain. Along with My truth comes My love, My joy, My hope as well as My peace. In order to receive what I have to give you, you must lay down your life, including your own expectations and understandings. In exchange, you will receive from My hand more than you can imagine.”

“As you walk with Me in My truth, rejoice in My work in and through you, even when there appears to be emptiness. The sun shines whether you see it or […]

Going Beyond Our Doubts and Questions

During prayer I ask Jesus how to help people in their walk with Him. His answer may surprise you, or maybe just confirm where you are at.

Jesus says, “My people are filled with doubts and questions. Many don’t know how to find the answers or where to go. It is hard to see past one’s own theology and doctrine. In the pursuit of truth, one has to:

  • Trust My Word, the Bible, as truth
  • Trust My Spirit for Interpretation
  • Study and seek – to put forth effort
  • Question themselves and others
  • Be OK if they are wrong and then receive My truth”

I see a person standing before Jesus with ashes in his closed fist. He is looking up at Jesus with […]

Where Are You, Lord?

Jesus smiles. “I am with you always.”

Why does it sometimes feel like You are nowhere near?

Jesus answers, “Child, I am always with you, I do not walk away. You live in a world of choices with a free will within you as I have designed you. My Spirit calls, and even convicts you when needed. It is then your choice to attend to My calling or to continue on your way. I may do the following…
I Call – you will hear your name, or My Scripture, sense My presence, hear or sense My guidance or even know My peace. I call in your walk, in your decision and in your confusion.
I Convict – My Spirit is the sense of what is […]

Dreams Of Peace Becoming Reality

Today as we celebrate one of this nation’s greatest advocates for equality, I stand in awe at Martin Luther King, Jr’s consistent posture of peace, even in the midst of aggressive attacks. Today, interracial tension seems to be everywhere according to the news reports. I wonder though, are we letting ourselves see and acknowledge the evidence of positive change that Martin Luther King, Jr breathed into existence in his famous speech, I Have A Dream. As I travel around this nation and watch people interacting in various situations, of various ages, and various cultures, I rejoice that Martin Luther King, Jr’s dream is alive and overcoming this nation’s past.

Are we there yet? No.

Can we currently see his […]

Walking With God…. Moment By Moment

Being a child of the Living God gives us wonderful privileges and opportunities. God desires to walk beside us every moment of our day, even in the good and the bad. Below is an excerpt from As God Sees on how to keep holding onto our Lord’s hand through it all.

Stay daily in the Word of God – It alone is our standard of all truth, know it, love it, memorize it! Everything has to come back to Scripture.
Stay in prayer – Seek God every day through prayer. Talk to God and give Him the opportunity to speak to you. Try to stay in constant prayer throughout the day. (Ephesians 6:18)
Journal – Journaling is a great way to stay focused on […]

“Humility” Can It Become A Powerful Four Letter Word?

This advent season as I read, study and share the Christmas Story of Jesus, I am struck, once again, by the humility exemplified by the King of Glory. Jesus left the grandeur of eternity to be born an infant who was then placed in a manger. What a stark contrast. One moment Jesus was in the presence of God in Heaven, the next in the presence of livestock in a, for lack of a better word, barn. In that one iconic moment, God revealed to man

Fixing The Tough Times

Is life tough right now? Are you trying to find a way out, a way to make things right or comfortable? Our Lord has a word for us who are always trying to fix tough times in ours (and, ok, I admit it) others’ lives.

“Wait. Come to Me. The situations and people I bring to you are not always for you to escape from or try to fix. Much happens for your learning, testing and growing. Don’t run away. Don’t succumb to the circumstances. Come to Me. Stay with Me. Let Me show you what blessing and truth I have for you. You may just find the peace within the storm that you would never find without it.”

Situations Are Not Always As They Appear

Ever been in a situation where later you realized your perception of the events and people involved may have been skewed? The challenge is to not view the situation through your eyes, or even what others may be thinking, but from Jesus’ perspective.

“Situations are not always as they appear. The hearts of My people are found within Myself. To rise above the emotions or lies of challenges before you, come to Me. I alone know the fullness of truth and want to give to you wisdom, love and power to overcome the situations you face.” – Jesus

Impossibilities with Men are Canvases for Jesus

“In the impossibilities I do My work. Most of My people think My work is when things are going well and view issues and problems as roadblocks they should not cross. The whole “shut door” teaching. Children, do you not know a whole crowd of witnesses are watching you? That your testimony and faithfulness in the impossibilities are proclamations of My power and majesty? No, you cannot do this project alone, but you can with Me. Impossibilities with men are canvases for Me. Do you not understand? I want to do miraculous work! I want to move and flow outside of man’s physical reasoning! Look at My Word? When am I working? When am I bringing glory to My name? Even […]
