I see Jesus on His throne and people standing before Him. One man is kneeling before Jesus as his past is displayed above him like a hologram. He sinks lower and lower to the ground as he hears his own words and thoughts being displayed for all to see and hear. Jesus says, “Take him away!” As angels grab him kicking and screaming, he stops to say, “I love you though, Lord.” Jesus responds, “Your lips speak as such, but your heart has been far from Me. Be gone!”

The reality of His Words cut me to the core.

Lord, you know all things. How do we keep from deceiving ourselves, because our hearts are deceitful above all things? We can fool even ourselves.

Jesus  responds, “By living and breathing and consuming and being washed by My Word in My Spirit and in My Truth. Does not My Word convict and transform? Just as one can eat processed food, which may have some food as I designed it, but is filled with man-made consumables, so it is when you continually learn from others. My People can quote others in all their forms of media a lot more effectively than they can quote My Word. What can save? What can transform? What has the power to have victory over the enemy? What can give hope or even bring peace? My Word and My Word alone. Do this, count the minutes you spend in, and chewing on, My Word compared to everything else you focus on. And yes, My Spirit is within My People, so My Word can, and should, remain in their hearts and minds while working and resting. Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. When My Word is truly alive in someone, they will recognize when they are justifying themselves to sin or being convicted of a thought, word or deed. Am I not the author and finisher of one’s faith? But only when I am allowed to be the one in authority of one’s life. In other words, their Lord.

Remember, many on that day will say, ‘Lord, Lord!’ but I will respond, ‘Depart from Me, I never knew you!’
This you shall proclaim to the nations and to the peoples.”

As Jesus fades from view, verses from His Word come to my mind: Matthew 7:22-24, Matthew 12:36, Luke 12:2-3, Romans 14:12, and Revelation 20:12. We may not think of our eternal life often, but when it is our time, it will suddenly become everything to us.

As it is written in Philippians 2:9-11, “God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. ”
